Gotta Stack Cheese

Because there's nothing more fabulous about being a SAHM than the amount of guilt one can feel in the course of the day over seemingly contradictory issues, I decided to try to make a few bucks this summer before BGB arrives. I have a few preaching gigs lined up, so my blogging may be a little sparse since I'm spending all my writing energy on sermons. I'll be back soon!

Funny you should ask. Last week I did in fact have a "sound guy" and this week I will have a driver and some groupies. The sound guy was great. I was used to being in charge of my own mic, which usually meant that the batteries were dead, I forgot to turn it on, or forgot to wear it completely. But this guy said that he'd actually turn it on remotely. Oh sweet, sweet technology!

I am proud to say I was one of said groupies on Sunday. It was so much fun to see you preach, and to watch you react oh-so-politely when one of the church members marched right up to you and within 30 seconds asked you if you had "dropped" yet, because, you know, "you look like you've dropped."

Maybe next time your groupies should wear tshirts that say "Pastor Mary Beth Kicks Serious Ass." Or maybe not :)

Preaching gigs are the best! I have several coming up, some more "famous" than others. Turns out my gig at Foundry in DC has been publicized resulting in random emails and comments from folks I don't know.
