If You Have Five Minutes to Kill

Got this little ditty over at Anna's.

It's celebrity face recognition software. Just upload your photo and it will tell you which celebrities you most resemble. My first shot yielded "No Matches," which I find odd since I've had perfect strangers approach me on the street to tell me that I resemble Ally Sheedy.

My second try yielded the following:
Condoleeza Rice
Sigourney Weaver
Ruth Rendell
Princess Diana
Christy Turlington
Gwyneth Paltrow
Natalie Imbruglia
Britney Spears
James Doohan (ironically, Jay had the same match)
Naomi Watts

Just for the sake of another data point, I tried another and got:
Juliette Lewis
Sharon Stone
Geena Davis
Jamie Cullum
Angela Lansbury (greeaat)
Toni Morrison
Kemal Ataturk (the founder of the Turkish republic. Lovely)
Helen Clark (Prime Minister of New Zealand)
Evander Holyfield (as though my ego weren't bruised enough with Kemal Ataturk)

The two pictures weren't all that different. I'm not sure I'm buying what they're selling.

Sorry about the delete earlier. I had to delete some really strange looking comment, right at the beginning of the blogger problems. Anyway, really funny thing to try! This is sort of silly without being able to post a picture of me, (I tried, but I don't have very good skills) but here is who I "look like".

Female-Anna Kournikova, Anastacia, Demi Moore, Kate Winslet, Rani Mukherjee and Boa.
Male-George Clooney, Johnny Depp, Mohamad Elbaradei....so, I don't think I am going to buy what they are selling, either! Ha!

My husband thinks they just spin a wheel everytime you submit a picture and come up with new people every time. Obviously it's not very sophisticated software, but it's fun anyway. I became a little obsessed with it this morning and finally had to make myself stop playing with it.

my buddy eric (ericcoomer.blogspot.com) ran me through that thing and the pic he used made me come out at julio iglesias.. not bad. however, i know if he chose a different angle pic i might turn out like carrot top.

I too had trouble stepping away from this silly site and while I don't think their findings are very accurate or precise it's fun to see how many crazy combinations of people you look like. Thankfully it's free, the day you have to pay for such entertainment will be the last day I play.

I can't get onto the site here at work. I'm dying to go home and load it so I can see who I look like!!!! You do look like Ally Sheedy. I don't see Condoleeza Rice at all.
