Holy Baptism, Batman

As if Jay's completion and defense of his dissertation didn't bring enough excitement this week, we also hosted fifteen of Joshua's family members to celebrate his baptism: four great-grandparents, four grandparents, two great-aunts, three cousins (one is the wife of my cousin, but she counts), and one aunt (and her boyfriend). It was quite a whirlwind of activity, but fun to visit with everyone for the short time that we had.

I don't have all of the pictures yet, but when I do I'll include a link to the photo album. Here's a sneak preview.
For those of you keeping track at home, that's my aunt doing the baptizing. She's a pastor in the United Methodist Church, too. When I was born she was going to seminary at Vanderbilt. Many afternoons, after classes were over, she'd come to my house and entertain me while my mother cooked dinner. Entertained from birth by a pursuing local church ministry. Coincidence? You be the judge.

Great Picture and so neat that you were raised not only in the church but by a seminarian. Yeah it's no wonder you're where you're at today.
