Back on the Wagon

If you pay any attention to my sidebar, you know that I'm currently reading this little gem. I actually find most of it to be obnoxious garbage (more in a later post), but the chapter on addressing one's physical fitness motivated me to start eating well again and exercising (which I haven't done on a regular basis since before getting pregnant). Unfortunately, Jay was able to find my packed-away Pilates DVDs in a matter of minutes and I had no excuse not to use them.

As a result, I slept better last night than I have since before Joshua was born. I think I got 8+ hours of (nearly) uninterrupted sleep. I did have to go to the bathroom once since I drank so much water, but I was able to fall right back to sleep again.

Of course, I feel like I've been run over by a semi.

I assume this will get easier. I already feel like a new person.

I so agree with you about staying home and physical fitness. Before Ty was born, I had all kinds of plans to lose the baby weight and how easy it would be. Hah! Being home provided ample time to snack, and who wants to walk when you could sit on the couch and read? So needless to say, 18 months after Ty was born, I had lost very little of the baby weight, and finally went back on my wagon and returned to Weight Watchers. You're not the only one out there! :)

So you were sticking with Dagnee and the wuss version?

The more important question is, how's your Powerhouse?

PLEASE send some of those motivational fitness vibes my way. My thighs have turned to mush. And with winter coming, it's even harder for me to get my buns off the couch!

Dave,

I had totally forgotten about Dagne until I saw her again. I thought about you and Jay heckling her on the DVD and laughed out loud. And my Powerhouse? It's a big blob.
